Chico, CA

Founded in 1979 by Ken Grossman in Chico, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company began with a small microbrewery built from repurposed dairy tanks and salvaged equipment. The tour covers the evolution of the brewery, including the 1989 relocation to a site featuring a 100‑barrel copper brew house and the 1997 expansion that increased capacity to nearly 800,000 barrels per year. Visitors can observe the brewing process, the historic copper kettles, and the on‑site restaurant and live‑music venue that serve the company’s range of ales and lagers.
