The factory in Ironwood, Michigan, traces its roots back to 1903 when the original Stormy Kromer cap was first sewn in the United States. Today the plant, owned by the Jacquart family, manufactures a range of outdoor apparel and accessories that are distributed worldwide. Visitors can join a complimentary tour that lasts about 45 to 60 minutes, during which they observe the production process and meet the workers who assemble the products. The tour is limited to ten participants, is wheelchair‑accessible, and concludes in the factory store.
