The SC Johnson Wax Administration Center, completed in 1939, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright to serve as a functional office building that reflects the company's hierarchy and workflow. Its construction features custom bricks, dendriform columns, and glass tubing windows, while the adjacent 14‑story Research Tower uses a cantilever system that gives the appearance of a suspended structure. The complex also includes a glass‑enclosed bridge and underground tunnels that connect the buildings, all intended to enhance employee comfort and communication.
