Harley-Davidson Vehicle and Powertrain (Kansas City, MO)

Kansas City, MO

The Harley‑Davidson Vehicle and Powertrain plant in Kansas City spans 358,000 square feet and opened in 1998. Tour participants observe the complete production line for Sportster, Dyna, and VRSC motorcycles, including the liquid‑cooled Revolution powertrain, with displays that explain each step from fabrication to final assembly. The experience begins with an introductory video, proceeds to a walk through the factory floor where welding, laser‑cutting, frame bending, polishing, and robotic welding are performed, and concludes with an opportunity to sit on a production motorcycle and visit a souvenir shop.
