Wahiawa, HI

The Dole Plantation in Wahiawa, Hawaii, began as a fruit stand in 1950 and was converted into a public attraction in 1989 under the name "Pineapple Experience" after a major remodel. A 1997 interior renovation added facades modeled on historic Haleiwa town, and the site now draws close to one million visitors annually. Tourists can explore the Pineapple Express, a maze that holds a Guinness World Record, and a plantation center that offers pineapple products and displays the history of the Dole brand, while the store sells about 3,500 fresh pineapples each week.
