Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama opened in Montgomery in 2005 as the company’s first U.S. plant. The 2‑million‑square‑foot facility includes stamping, paint, assembly, engine production and a two‑mile test track, and it can produce up to 300,000 vehicles annually. The plant employs more than 3,300 workers and is supported by a network of over 70 suppliers that create additional jobs across North America.
