Visitors to the Big Wind Kite Factory can observe the production of nylon kites and windsocks that are assembled on the island of Molokai. The manufacturing process incorporates fiberglass spars for the kites and poly tubing hoops for the windsocks, with edges sealed by hot knife trimming. The facility offers complimentary tours and introductory kite‑flying instruction at the adjacent Aeronautical Testing Facility.
