Janesville, WI
The Wisconsin Wagon Company in Janesville, WI traces its roots back to 1915 when the Wisconsin Carriage Company shifted from carriages to sidewalk toys, producing the popular Janesville Coaster Wagon. After the original factory closed in 1940, a 1978 restoration effort recreated the design using solid red oak and stainless‑steel hardware while retaining the original ball‑bearing wheels for smooth operation. Today the company hand‑builds four sizes of wagons, each marked with a numbered nameplate that records its production date.
