Guests can watch Simon Pearce glassblowers create pieces in real time. The workshop traces the history of glass, which began in Western Asia more than 4,000 years ago with small molded objects and later evolved into vessels in the late Bronze Age. The introduction of glassblowing in the Roman Empire expanded the range of forms that could be produced, enabling shapes that were previously only achievable with pottery or metal.
