Chollar Mine Tour

The tour takes visitors 400 feet into an historic mine tunnel, allowing them to see the layout of the old Chollar Mine. Guided by experienced interpreters, participants observe the techniques used for excavation and shaft maintenance while hearing accounts of daily life and superstitions among miners. Founded in 1859, the mine yielded approximately $17 million in silver and gold during its operation.
