Chamard Vineyard, founded in 1983 in Clinton, CT, grows 20 acres of European grape varieties—including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc—on gently sloping, stony soil close to Long Island Sound. Visitors walk through the 1988‑built winery to observe the winemaking process and then sample the wines in a tasting room overlooking the vineyards. The facility features stonework and timber sourced from the property, and the maritime climate provides mild winters and a long growing season that supports the production of about 6,000 cases per year.
