Atlantic City, NJ
Absecon Lighthouse, situated at 31 South Rhode Island Avenue in Atlantic City, is New Jersey's tallest lighthouse and the third tallest masonry lighthouse in the United States. Visitors can climb 228 steps to a platform that provides a complete 360‑degree view of the city and harbor, and the tower still contains the original first‑order Fresnel lens installed in 1857. The two‑acre property includes a keeper’s cottage, a small museum, a gift shop, and free parking, and the nonprofit Inlet Public‑Private Association organizes seasonal events such as group tours and overnight stays.
